Valentine

Was it not cupid's wings that gave you flight,
Who carried you away into the deep blue midnight?
Your eyes were sparkling with the greatest delight.
To behold such beauty was nowhere near my birthright.

How you float above me as a feather upon the wind,
And now gently commencing your inevitable descent.
Yet it is a fall that's neither fatal nor ghastly frightful.
But it is like a soft persuasive cloud of perfume slowly fading in the wind.
How it slowly passed me by, leaving my nostrils overwhelmed
I can not believe nor try, nor wish to disembark from the breeze that elevates me.
How I am soaring forever freely within your eyes.
Happy and content here within your fading perfume scent.
It is most enchanting, that it was you the heavens send.

I now, am basking in your warmth upon this cold and rainy day.
You hcaressing my hand and making my every emotion sway.
You're everything a man's words for beauty could utter.
And I now still wishing that even after this cupid has flown away,
That still within my arms my amour will stay.
Promise that to me today that's the 14th of February known as Valentine's Day.
