Thus the two brave adventures set forth into the jungle of Arubinai following the light as their compass - their true north.
It is a desolate and eerie location, where many things lurk... yet are rarely ever seen; trees, tall as skyscrapers with roots as thick as mature oak trees, vines and moss enshroud them - yielding an ominous look.
Light can hardly penetrate the thick foliage and thus an ever dark veil covers the vast jungle region.

Chezzy-Am

therein, deeper, deeper, deeper... alone they were, one armed solely with a saw bleeding with the manic laughter of diabolical vendettas and mercenaries - awaiting judgment upon slicing through the thresholds of the Arubinai; while the latter, hidden from view, swayed back and forth his stride towards pursuit.

They gathered towards the circular umbra making itself void of any impurity, and watched as the day turned grey. It was getting late, so thought Y'tuwai, and looked at his invisible friend.

"Ratakh, gather your grounds and make haste; we have to find the thickest foliage for our camp", Y'tuwai barked with a significant degree of urgency; he waited for his clan-brother to respond.

This is a collab between me and shehrozeameen. Happy Reading.

You're currently reading the introduction, first chapter of this series. Although we had planned on posting this earlier,
a few editing (as well as title change) and subsequent events in real life prevented us from posting this work here on dA. I hope you like it, and comments are always welcome.

Interesting idea for a story. As a lover of the fantasy genre, I cannot wait to find out more. I would like to point out a few things though. You can write more about how dark and deep this forest is. It would be a perfect start to this story. If you have read any of the works by Tolkien, you would know what I am talking about. The introduction of the characters in my humble opinion seems rushed. This work has the elements of a good story but needs to rewritten.
